$QURE Some very “well-timed” options flow hit uniQure just days before FDA news sent the stock flying. On June 17, $QURE closed up 78.44% after the FDA moved AMT-130, uniQure’s Huntington’s disease gene therapy candidate, back toward a near-term accelerated approval filing path. The concern had been that uniQure might need to run another trial before filing, which would have meant more time, more money, and a lot more uncertainty. Instead, the FDA said the company can use its existing 3-year Phase I/II data to support a BLA submission for accelerated approval. In plain English: the path forward suddenly looked a lot less blocked than it did before. And for a biotech stock trading under that cloud, the market reacted exactly how you’d expect.
