You’re selling without really knowing ahead of time if the stock is going to be trading higher or lower. This is used extensively for tax and estate planning purposes as well as diversification. This is not a sign of a mass exodus and does eliminate or reduces the odds of an insider trading claim. The executives involved generally continue to own meaningful positions after selling. Butterfly also saw meaningful insider buying in late 2025, including director Larry Robbins’ purchase of approximately $6.8 million worth of shares, which today are roughly worth $25 million.
